Il Museo dell'Ara Pacis rappresenta la prima opera di architettura realizzata nel centro storico di Roma dalla caduta del fascismo ai nostri giorni. Il progetto è stato redatto da Richard Meier & Partners Architects, autore di alcuni dei più notevoli musei della seconda metà del Novecento.
